Turn “I can’t” into “I will”

I can’t is no longer in my vocabulary. If it’s in your vocabulary, I’m hoping you find the courage to scratch it. When you find the courage to go after what you want, things change. You change. You realize you are capable of so much more than you ever thought possible.

 I will

It doesn’t matter your pace, where you are in your goals, whether you just started or you’ve been at this for 20 years, most of us have something that we want to do, but something is holding us back. Once you figure out what that is and push it aside you will see great things. You have to want it, you have to decide to make a change. It’s not easy and there will be times you will want to quit. Surround yourself with motivating people and put in the work. I have a Pinterest board that’s just for motivation. Go read it, start one for yourself. I keep thinking I need to print some of them and tape them to my bathroom mirror.

no limits

I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m not the skinniest I’ve ever been, but that’s not how I define healthy anymore. I have accomplished a lot in the last 3 years. Lost 40 pounds, kept it off, started running, lifting weights, racing, half marathons, full marathon, gained self confidence.

And I still have a lot left in me. Here’s my “I will” list.

  • I will PR a half marathon this year.
  • I will PR a full marathon this year.
  • I will break out of my comfort zone and pick up my pace.
  • I will stop being negative.
  • I will be an example my daughter can look up to.
  • I will encourage my friends.
  • I will love myself.

Can't stop me

What’s your “I will”?

What’s holding you back? And how are you going to kick it to the curb?

Did you workout today?
