Pinterest pin-up party {March}

It has been forever since we had a Pinterest Pin-up Party! I have been some great stuff and can’t wait to share it with you. I’m trying something new and hoping it works out. Pinterest has an option to embed the pin in the post, but it’s not working well for me. If you don’t see the Pin board then there’s a link to the pin on Pinterest.

I recently started following Megan’s blog at All That Glitters and she has some great style. In fact I ordered the leopard print tennis shoes from this post.

I totally need someone to make this for me.

This Apple Salad recipe is from Tammy at Ginger Mantra. It looks so good and it’s vegan friendly!

I see us eating a lot of salads this summer. This one looks so good. Can’t wait to try it.

I love decorating for Christmas. I don’t have a lot of decorations, maybe I can make some things to add to my stash.

I really, really like these. I made similar ones for fall and year round decor, and really want to make these!

This is so simple and I would have never thought of it.

This recipe looks amazing! I may try it next weekend.

I made this recipe for Shepherd’s Pie last week, it was good!

Shepherds pie

I ordered this from Maurice’s online clearance. I’m thinking denim jacket, tights and boots!

Let’s get this party started!

Of course I’ve been pinning lots of Fall and lots of pumpkin. The Christmas stuff is starting to show up too.

I want to make these. They look so yummy, but looks a little time consuming too. It’ll have to be a Saturday morning for sure.

apple muffins

This recipe looks good too. I’m thinking rice or salad on the side.

pork medallions

I absolutely need to be doing these yoga poses!

And this one is because we’re house shopping/dreaming so we can hopefully put ours on the market next year. I love closets and I’m totally dreaming here, but isn’t this fabulous?!?!?

Here are some of my favorite pins from this month. Some of the recipes I’ve tried. This first one may get done tomorrow!

These Pumpkin donuts look wonderful! I can’t wait to try them.

I went and bought a pair of cobalt blue skinny jeans from Old Navy. That’s way, way out of my comfort zone of black or denim jeans. I even bought a yellow cardigan to wear with it. I’m a little scared!

blue and yellow

I did this. Except I used a hanger for ties, it has about 12 short hooks on it. Got it at Target for less than $5. Got one for mine and Ally’s closet.

tank tops

I made this carrot recipe and they are delicious!

And this is just hilarious!

I pinned a lot of recipes yesterday from Skinny Taste. She has some good looking recipes! Here are a few of my favorite pins from the week.

I tried this dish last night. It works, but my pasta got a little overcooked. I will boil the other ingredients for a few minutes before adding the pasta. I also added chicken I had cooked already. I also used angel hair pasta since I already had it. The recipe calls for linguine which is a little thicker, that might help it not get soggy.

one pot pasta

I cannot wait to wear this! Now I just need those brown boots….

fall outfit

This dish looks really good. My favorite part is the tomatoes! Going to have to try it.

Grilled Pesto Chicken Kabobs: these look yummy. I’ll have to get the hubby to grill these soon!

I’m officially ready for it to cool off! I have seen several early fall outfits on Pinterest and it has me in the mood for cooler weather. Never mind the fact that I can’t pull off said outfits on Pinterest, but I like to dream!

pinterest-party 500x375

Outfit #1: Love it all. I can’t pull off hats, I’ve tried. It doesn’t work for me. Not sure about the skinny jeans and heels but I’m willing to give it a shot!

cute outfit

Outfit #2: Love the polka dots and boots! Feminine, yet casual.

Outfit #3: Love the sweater and animal print ballet flats! It rarely gets cold enough here to layer like this, but it’s so cute!

Outfit #4: This pink and blue is beautiful! Very feminine, looks comfy, dressy casual. I like the whole look!

pink n blue

Outfit #5: Weekend wear, of course. Love pretty much anything Nike paired with Miss Me jeans.

If anyone would like to help me shop/pay for any of these outfits, you would certainly get a little shout out!

I found a few new things this week and I’m still looking for great teacher gifts for the 1st day/week of school!

This looks so cute and easy! My fridge shelves get so gross. Maybe this will be easy to clean??

Mojito fruit salad.

Here’s another idea for a teacher gift. I’m thinking 1st week of school survival kit.

This is so cute! Wonder if the hubby will drill some holes for me….

I’m always trying to think of creative lunch ideas, but it never happens. Maybe this year I’ll use some of these ideas!

Pinterest is killing me lately with all these projects I want to try! I need to finish the ones I started first. I got all 3 end tables done, but I haven’t started on my desk yet.

pinterest party

These bottles are so pretty! Would be cute for a party, if I ever have one! The original post is in Portuguese, but Google nicely translated it for me.

With school starting next month, I have been thinking about back to school teacher gifts. No, I’m not afraid of bribery. I did pretty good last year with this recipe. This is her last year in elementary school, so I’m thinking it needs to be even better! Here are a few selections so far.

And I’m thinking this for Ally’s back to school party!

popcorn bar

I love this! 35 things I want my daughter to know about girlfriends! I watched her walk to a friends house last night for a sleepover.  Her friend meets her half way and it reminded me of my dearest friend in high school. We did the same thing. Meet in the middle and hang out at each other’s houses. I want her to treasure her friends and know what a real friend is.

35 things

I did try this spaghetti squash recipe, but it’s not quite as good as I hoped.

That wraps up my week of pinning! What did you pin this week?

Each Tuesday I try to share my favorite (or not-so-favorite) pins from the week before. I find I pin mostly recipes and running stuff (go figure!) Also, lately I’ve been pinning lots of things to try around the house, like painting and organizing.

I love, love, love crock pot recipes, but I don’t utilize it much except for chicken or roast. This recipe looks good, except I’d trade the corn for spinach. Maybe add some green onions.

tomato chicken pasta

I saw this gadget in Lowe’s the other day and need to invest in a few of them! I am constantly seeing places on the wall that need to be touched up. But, it’s so much trouble to get out the gallon of paint and brushes, etc.

I made this banana bread this week! I used whole wheat flour, apple sauce and honey. I added about 2 extra spoons of apple sauce and a few dashes of cinnamon to the recipe. I ended up with one loaf and 4 muffins. Approximately 16 servings, which according to my calculations means 133 calories, 2 grams fiber, less than 1 gram of fat, 2 grams of protein per serving. And it was still pretty darn good!

I’ll just leave you with this!

Hope you all are having a great day!

 It’s Pinterest Tuesday!

My vacation starts at 5PM today! (But who’s counting??) I have a few projects I’d like to complete while I’m off for 13 days, starting with painting some furniture. Of course, I started scouring Pinterest for ideas and I think I know what I want!

Here are a few of the pieces I want to paint. I have a desk and a few end tables.

end table

I think this is what I want to do. I’m thinking this turquoise or red with the antique glaze on it.

We love, love, love Mexican food in our house. I’m always looking for something a little different than tacos. Burritos and fajitas are so hard to make during the week but this looks pretty easy! You can pretty much put anything you want in these.

I think this is just awesome!

would be nice

This recipe looks good but I’ve gotta find a sub for the heavy cream. Someone suggested coconut milk. I’ve never tried that. Any other suggestions?

And one more recipe. I made these on Sunday and they are good. Probably my favorite protein muffins so far! I highly recommend them.
