January Jumpstart Day 27: Goals Check + Giveaway

Anyone else feel like that? This month has flown by! I wish time would slow down a little. It may have something to do with the fact that I’m counting down to my marathon, that is probably making time go faster.

Monday brings goals check time. How’d you do this week?

I did ok this week. Not great but good.

  • Eating out: I caved and ate fast food for lunch on Friday. It was a moment of weakness.
  • Water: really good! Maybe the best week ever!
  • Weight: I was up slightly on Friday morning, but I’ll just give it my best this week.
  • Food: I did track it, even on the bad days.
  • Workouts: Ran fewer miles, but got some good workouts it. Tried wall balls with squats for the first time.

Overall I’m pleased with my progress. I’m definitely headed in the right direction. I just have to keep making good choices and change those bad habits.

    Yes, I feel the same way about Mondays! Today I dragged myself to the gym and did a workout with the machines, mainly arms and abs again, then ran a mile on the treadmill. Unfortunately I didn’t get out of bed at a great time, so I had to cut my workout a little shorter than normal. Thats ok, at least I did something. I am hoping to run 5 miles tomorrow if all my buddies will brave the cold and wind, if not I have a backup plan of running 5 on the treadmill. Would rather brave the cold, but we shall see.

    I am considering my move a workout for this weekend. Both days I had over 13000 steps and yesterday also had 24ish flights of stairs =)

    I’m doing OK on my goals. I’ve managed at least one weekday run each week + my long runs on weekends, which is the best I’ve ever done during training. :) I’m still struggling to get enough water in every day, but I’m making much better food choices, so that’s good. I haven’t worked out yet today because it’s too cold to run with the baby, but I’m really hoping to get at least 3 miles in after J gets home from work.

    I got in a 3 mile run (with intervals) today to hit the halfway mark of my 50 miles by Valentine’s Day goal. My schedule this week has me running 23 miles, so I’m feeling good about hitting the goal in time. We’ve been lucky in Austin that the weather has been mostly cooperative for outdoor runs, but I wish the temperature would stay a little more consistent. Sunny and 70 on Sunday, breezy and 40′s today. Ugh!

    No workout today. Had a race yesterday and today is a rest day. Finally!

    Funny cartoon. I think we can all relate to mondays. I feel mondays are the hardest part of the week.

    Ran yesterday, thank goodness!
    Tomorrow will probably be a treadmill run.

    Oh yesterday!!! Was a great day!! No run, just strength training! RnR will be here before i know it.. yikes!!

    I am training for a marathon in May and haven’t done today’s run because of work, but I will get it in. Freezing rain is coming tonight so I better go soon!

    I’m about to go for a run!! The weather here in Santa Cruz California is perfect…….supposed to be 70ish today, not a drop of rain or cold in sight :)

  11. I worked out today–the weather is sooooooo cold! I’m SO ready for spring. Aren’t we all??

      We got a taste of it this morning, with 65 degrees here. It was nice. Capris with a long sleeve and I was arm at some points but the wind was still cool.

      I enjoyed it though!
