January Jumpstart Day 17: Workout + One More Mile giveaway

TGIF! This week has been a long one. I’m looking forward to a 3 day weekend.

Sara at She Cooks She Crafts She Runs has written another great workout, this one will get your heart pumping!

I have not tried power cleans before, it’s something I want to try. I would have to start out with just the bar. Be careful with trying anything new and always ask for help if you need it. Here is a video demo with a few tips, Power Clean.

I tried something new at the gym this week with my friend Jill. I think they are called wall crawls, we put our feet on the wall and hands on the floor (face down), sorta like a push-up with feet on the wall. But we brought our feet down, then up, down, then up. I’m hoping you can see this video from Instagram. It’s not us, it’s someone we follow. It was kinda fun, definitely will do those again!

    Thursday Day 16: I did nothing, used that as my rest day since my legs were still very sore from my last gym workout.

    Friday Day 17: Plan to go to the gym today and do a workout that has NOTHING to do with my legs, arms and abs only so my legs can start feeling better… and a soak in the hot tub to also try and help those legs recover

    I have yet to work out today. I woke up sore today , so I think I am going to do a resorative yoga practice and a walk with my dog. Something active but something that will allow my body the rest it needs!

    Yesterday was Rest day, and 3 mile easy run one which was with the dog.. lost two deals of chapstick while on the run… and It was a great recovery run for sure!

    I am so lame lately, I can’t even get out of the house to do anything. I am praying it will happen when I have my own place.

    I had to work a grave yard shift so I’m going to use this as a recovery day. I’m also going for a very long run tomorrow to honor fellow runner Meg Menzies who died last week as she was out for a run and hit by a drunk driver
