I’m Thankful

I’ve been kinda quiet this week. Have a lot going on and nothing really on my mind to blog about.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I am so blessed, but I don’t always see it. I have a feeling we all live that way most of the time. There are times it’s easy to see the blessings and other times you are searching for it. I have learned a lot about being content this year.

Day 1: Thankful for my Savior. Thankful that I am saved and forgiven.

Day 2: Thankful for my husband. We’ve been married 17 years. I can’t imagine life without him.

Day 3: This girl. She stole my heart from day 1. She’s silly, she’s kind. She drives me batty like any 12 year old girl can. But I love her!

Day 4: Thankful for my job. No I don’t always want to go, but I’m glad I have one.

Day 5: Thankful for my right to vote!

I missed Day 6 somehow. It was the day of my surgical procedure so we’ll chalk that one up to the shots and stitches. I am however thankful for my health.

Day 7: Thankful for rest days. Even ones mandated by the doctor.

Day 8: I’m thankful for best friends. Life seems to get in the way of us spending much time together, but I’m so thankful for Alisha! This was our first 5k together in 2011. We need a new picture!

How I Got Here

There’s my first week. I love that this is making me focus on my blessings. Not just recite them, but really think about it, see it in front of me. Maybe I won’t take my blessings for granted.

What are you thankful for?

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving food? Mine is the dressing. We eat cornbread dressing in my family and I love it!
