Marathon training: 6 down, 12 to go!

Week 6 is done!! Today was 14 miles and I’ve run that once before, back in May. It was a little tough today. The weather was a bit cooler but 14 is hard. I’m definitely ready for the weather to cool off.

Everything from here on out is new territory!  I’m looking forward to seeing how I do, but a little scared as well! I have a great team to train with and I know that will make it easier.

Training this week:

Sunday: Gym day, cardio and weights, hit a PR on the bench press of 60 pounds!

Monday: Rest day

Tuesday: 5 miles, 10:26 pace

Wednesday: 3 miles on the treadmill plus weights

Thursday: Speed intervals, 4 miles, 9:40 pace

Friday: Rest day

Saturday: 14 miles, 10:40 pace

 We tell ourselves we love speed work! It’s hard but my group is seeing some improvement so it’s worth it!

Ally and some friends did their first color run this morning. It looked like fun but also a big mess!

    I love wearing my compression socks, really do feel they help recover!

    Where did you find the PB2? I have been looking everywhere and can’t find it!! And congrats on your 14!! Sounds like training is going great! I’ve got 18 this week. I’m a bit nervous because I have to do it by myself. I typically do my long runs with my MRTT mamas!
