Weekend, training recap & a winner!

I had every intention of getting this post out yesterday, but it never happened. What a crazy weekend!

Saturday morning started with a very warm, humid, 11 miles. But it’s done and it’s now 8 days until my next half!

11 miles

Post run John and I had our Saturday gym date. I only workout my arms on Saturday since my legs are usually done at that point! I am so excited I benched pressed the 45 pound bar for more reps and was able to add 10 pounds and got about 3 reps done! Baby steps!

Ally had softball practice and a party, we were supposed to head to my aunt and uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary party, but hubby had other plans. While I picked up Ally he was prepping dinner and tried to cut his finger off with the mandolin slicer. So we spent the afternoon at Urgent Care, it was just the very tip but it had to be cauterized. (see Wikipedia here) I’ll spare you all the picture!

  1. Yay!!! I’m so excited! And that’s an awesome time for your 11 miler! You are doing so great!!! And your bench press is looking good too! My hubby likes to brag about his 300 lb bench press…I would be lucky to just do the bar! lol And hope your hubby’s finger is feeling better! That’s crazy! I’m always scared of doing that to myself! :/

      I started with just the bar and it’s 45lbs by itself. Just starting to add 5lbs on each end.
