April Arms, #GoalsCheck and an awesome giveaway!

This weeks April Arms is brought to you by Sara at She Cooks, She Crafts, She Runs. It uses the Bosu Ball which I really like, but only get to use it when I’m at the gym.

“Hello everyone out there!  Happy Monday, was your weekend crazy?  Because mine was crazy busy, how do we seem to fit so much in our days(and nights!).

In honor of our April Arms, I’m tossing in an old post.  But it was a good post…using the Bosu!  The Bosu is one of those things that you can see at the gym and be like, “What in the world am I going to do with THAT?”  Well, for my arms I’m showing you, yes and demonstration is included so please don’t laugh at my ridiculous attempt at recording myself, how to use the Bosu ball for Super Pushups!

Bosu Ball Workout

Seriously you will get some awestruck stares when you bravely pull out the Bosu and flip it over and start pumping out these bad boys.  I’ve even had guys tell me how Boss I am when I’ve done these in the gym.  Even if you have to modified with your knees down, get 5 reps for 3 sets and you’ll be glad you did!”

It’s time for #GoalsCheck Monday!

  • Abs – been working on those this week, fairly consistent, just need to keep going!
  • Weights – not great this week, did not make it to the gym, but lifted light weights that I have at home
  • Water – did good this weekend, mostly good during the week
  • Training/Running – hit a major milestone this weekend, ran 14 miles! I guess you can call that a practice run for Marathon training!
(I purchased this product on my own and was not required or compensated to write this review.)
I started running at 5AM last summer with a group of ladies that have become some of my best friends! Running in the dark definitely has advantages but there are safety issues and you should take precautions. One of the first thing I bought was a flash light. I couldn’t really find one that was easy to carry or didn’t weigh a ton. I ended up with a head lamp that I tightened the strap to be able to hold it.

I finally discovered Knuckle Lights at my local running club. These lights are genius. They slip on your knuckles and are so easy to hold and run with. They have a solid light beam and a blinker. The beam is bright, it’s light weight and has an adjustable strap. My friend and I bought 1 pair and split them, I didn’t figure I’d carry them both anyway. I use these lights three times a week, for at least an hour each time. I have had to change the batteries three times in about 10 months.
