#30DayHomies day 10!!

We’re in the double digits now! Are you keeping up?

We have winners for yesterday’s drawing for Swiftwick Socks ~ Becky Bowen and Shelly Pfuhl. You ladies should have an email from me.

I went to the gym this morning, got in 20 minutes on the elliptical, 10 minutes on the stationary bike, some lateral arm pulls, 1 minute plank and :30 second each side plank. I need to explore the weight machines at the gym some more. I tend to just use the same ones every time.

Yesterday was a crazy, run errands day, when all I really wanted to do was curl up on the couch with a book! I have been focused on getting our house organized. I cleaned some more stuff out of our spare bedroom, now there’s a pile to be donated. I went to Target and got some storage drawers for the pantry, it’s really small and completely disorganized. I went in search of new running shoes, which brings me to another point.

Running shoes ~ It’s hard to find a good pair, but it’s the most important piece of equipment you will need to run. I started running in Nike Lunar Glide 3. I ran in them for a year, put over 300 miles on them, no injuries, at all. Then last October it was time for new shoes, I got fitted and I tried Mizuno Wave Ryder. They weren’t for me but I’m anxious to try Mizuno again. I went back to Nike, the Lunar Glide 4, should be a perfect fit, right? They must have changed something in them because I’ve had 3 injuries since wearing them. Now I am in search of different shoes. Need something with more support. I definitely suggest you get fitted and even then pay attention to what your body is telling you, injuries are not to be taken lightly.

I will be resting and icing my running feet for at least 7-10 days and reevaluate. Back to bike riding for me. Gotta keep up the training for Cowtown!

For yesterday’s What I Ate Wednesday ~ breakfast was bagel, peanut butter and banana. I really love it but I should find something else to eat….

Since I was running around like a crazy person all day, for lunch I grabbed my favorite smoothie from Smoothie King, better than grabbing a cheeseburger! I should probably get something from them for all the free advertising they get from me!

Since we are back at church on Wednesday night, we decided to have dinner there this week, we had chicken fried steak, with mash potatoes. It’s pretty good!

What did you eat yesterday? What was your workout?

Don’t forget about the giveaways for this week, check Monday’s blog post for details!

Yeah! Thanks for the giveaway! I have been wanting to try compression socks!
Yesterday I played racquetball for the first time with my hubby. My husband is really good, he was semi-pro when he was younger. I had a lot of fun trying something new and being alone with the hubs! That doesn’t happen too often with 4 little ones.

You will be so proud of me – I am on day 4 of my new running routine and I love it. Its just the first week but after we spoke at lunch I really got excited and I am very committed to my goal. I made Bryce and Kyla walk with me to the beach and back and hopefully we will all start doing more exercises together. This is so much fun. Can’t wait to see where I end up by the time I come home again!!!
