Closing out 2012

I’ve been so focused on getting #30DayHomies ready to go, that I hadn’t thought much about a post for today. When I look back on this year, I accomplished a lot more than I thought I would. It wasn’t all easy, had a few minor set backs, but I am ready to take on 2013. I have a lot to look forward to!

Ally was looking at the list of all the prizes for January and she’s quite bummed that she doesn’t qualify for any of them. So, today I decided I’d make a challenge just for her. I think I committed to buying her an Under Armour Hoodie if she completes the #30DayHomies challenge. I’ve just started training her for the Cowtown 5k, so she’ll be running a few times a week but could use some non-running activity. So, we will see how she does!

I ended the year with 727.99 miles logged. That’s 124 hours, 41 minutes and 36 seconds! An average pace of 10:17 per mile. And 65, 215 calories burned!!

I am signed up for two half marathons already ~ Cowtown February 24 and Rock N Roll March 24. Still deciding on a marathon and getting more half marathons under my belt.  I have a goal of 1000 miles for 2013. (Yikes!)

    My goals for 2013. Amp up the core training!
    Recover fully from knee surgery! Hit the road again (with realistic post knee surgery goals)!
